Here are 5 ways to take care of your lash lift so you get the most out of it

Among all of our services here at Haus Of Bliss, lash lifts are one of our most popular. Lash lifts are designed to lift the lashes, opening up your beautiful eyes. So whether it be your first appointment with us or you’re a returning client, we’ll begin the appointment by chatting to you about the health of your eyelash hair and the shape of your eyes to ensure that a lash lift is right for you.

Once your treatment is completed, we will walk you through the aftercare. This is super important for maintaining your lash lift and extending a reasonable amount of time between appointments. So to keep your lashes full, we’ve put together our top five tips for maintaining and prolonging your lash lift.

  1. Keep your lashes dry and avoid steam, heat and sweat for 24/48 hours

Starting at number one, this is the biggest tip we can give all our clients. Avoid steam, heat, and sweat for at least 24 hours (ideally, 48). These three things are killers for lash lifts, bringing down our beautiful work.

2. Avoid curling your lashes

We recommend avoiding curling your lashes with a clamp curler after your appointment or at all (we promise you won’t need too). This can ruin your results and, even worse, damage your natural lashes.

3. Avoid touching or rubbing your lashes

While we know this is tricky and tired eyes are real, avoid touching or rubbing your lashes. This, again, damages the results of your treatment and all of the natural oil on your hands can wear down the product keeping your lashes lifted. When washing your face, don’t rub your eyes. Simply blot with a gentle towel and allow your lashes to dry naturally, the brush through with your mascara wand.

4. Use an oil-free makeup remover

When taking your makeup off (a.k.a. The best feeling ever), use an oil-free makeup remover. Like the natural oils on your hands, any oil will wear down the perming effect that your lashes have on them.

5. Don’t use any waterproof/resistant mascara or waterproof liquid eyeliner

While we all love waterproof mascara after your lash lift, you want to avoid any waterproof/resistant mascaras or eyeliners. These are much more difficult to remove and can lead to excessive rubbing when trying to remove them, damaging your lash lift. Instead, use a clean eyebrow spoolie (we give you one to take home after your appointment) and brush upwards, not downwards, to reveal beautifully full and curled lashes.
