Online presence of people, what does this mean to you?

We are a holistic beauty salon, on the Redcliffe peninsular who has an instagram, Facebook and also a Tik Tok, but let’s be real, I can’t keep it all active. Like running a small biz is enough as it is, adding in all these social media platforms is a lot. Anyways haha I obviosuly needed to get that off my chest today. We here to talk about online stuff not business.

So, why are we writing a blog about this. Well, I asked Terri whilst she was doing a clients lash lift and brows, what should I write a blog about this week, and she suggested this topic. It’s something she has been thinking about a lot lately, and I said, well yeah, I have actually been thinking about human behaviour a lot. Isn’t it 2 VERY BIG SUBJECTS.

So let’s dive into it a little bit. Firstly we are all humans, who are trying to find connection and community, and social media allows us to grow this, BUT are we being real and true to who we are? Maybe but also maybe not? I mean, if I was to come on social media and let you know about all of my worries and troubles on the daily, im just not sure you would follow me for a long time hahaha and that’s anyone really!! But then there is the other side it, where people are watching you and looking up to you thinking that you are something that you are not- which is crazy.

Terri and I often get comments of coming across as confident women, but let me tell you, we both struggle in that department. recognition is our BIG word, Im driven by words of affirmation and im pretty sure Terri is too!!

We need to look at social media as a place to learn and grow. A place that is positive, and makes us feel good. So that may look like doing a little cleanse of who you follow, and reducing the amount of time you spend on it. also looking at peoples journeys, its not comparing your chapter 1 to their chapter 10. If you want what they have GO FOR IT, see it as inspiration xo

In our own socials media @hausofbliss__ we hope that we come across as inviting people, people who welcome you into his calming space to feel comfortable and relaxed.

We can’t wait to see you in salon, and thanks for the tine you have taken to read this xo
